Introducing Goa
Goa is where east meets west, modernity embraces tradition without modesty, and there are many things in this picturesquely beautiful place that will make a traveler positively amazed. This former Portuguese colony still retains the flavor of its colonial past of about 500 years. If you listen intently, you can still hear the Portuguese rhythm of old world charm.(Goa’s largest city is named as Vasco da Gama)
Goa is famous for its exotic beaches, churches with western architecture, and charming people. Goa is always in a celebratory mood, people have a generally a relaxed and laid-back attitude. Goan cuisine, that is often rich with coconut milk, palm vinegar and chilies, is also another reason to visit this exotic location. The famous ‘Feni’ adds more strength to it.
Goa is also blessed with rich flora and fauna, owing to its location on the Western Ghats range. The state is divided into two districts: North Goa and South Goa.
