The Tea Museum is being set up in Munnar’s Nallanthani estate by the Tata Tea. The museum chronicles the advent and development of tea plantations in Munnar. The materials on display include the machinery, curios and other artifacts that have been used in plantations and factories right from the old days. The museum explains various techniques used in the production and refinement of tea.
The Pelton Wheel exhibited here was in use in early 20the century for generating power for the factories to operate.
